Bingo.com, the online bingo operator is having a better first quarter this year than last year. According to un-audited accounts, both player acquisitions and revenues were up while operating costs have been reduced, however the company was still showing a loss. Although the first quarter shows growth for bingo.com and they have entrenched themselves well into the UK online bingo playing market, it is surprising that they have declared a net loss. (more…)

Gala bingo has announced that it is pulling out of the national Game in August? I can’t help thinking that this actually might be a bad decision for Gala Bingo though, particularly because of the fact that the National game offers such huge prizes and is a massive draw card for UK bingo players. Mark Formosa Visits Mecca Bingo Taunton

Ian Burke Visits 80 of Mecca’s 114 Bingo Clubs
Friday, May 9th, 2008In the past six months, Ian Burk, Chief Executive Officer of Rank Group has visited eighty of the groups 114 bingo clubs and for a man who doesn’t gamble this is one heck of an expedition. He ahs also visited 30 out of the 33 Grosvenor Casinos, many of the Hard Rock Units and the groups’ Spanish Bingo businesses. That is a lot of venues to visit since he came over to Rank from Holmes Place in March last year to head the group, at least one a day! (more…)
