It seems really strange that while some bingo clubs are closing and leaving the communities they are based in bereft of their only form of external entertainment and yet still other are opening. I suppose that it is a case of demographics and whether there is a viable revenue generating market for the UK’s best loved game.
But it still does my heart good to know that there are some bingo club openings and the latest was opened on Valentines day at the Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, just off Margate Road in Kent. This is really good news for residents in the area and we really do hope that the new bingo club makes a good run of it. There will obviously be a lot of promotions to attract new custom, so it might be worth a visit if you live locally.
One thing is certain, after all the worries that seemed to be publicized last year over the future of Mecca Bingo as a whole, what with the take over bid by Harrah’s and their ability to hold them at arms length. It is great to know that Mecca bingo is not only closing down bingo clubs, but also opening new ones, it appears to me that some sort of status quo has been maintained.
