Online Bingo Operator Enjoys Better Q1

Bingo.com, the online bingo operator is having a better first quarter this year than last year. According to un-audited accounts, both player acquisitions and revenues were up while operating costs have been reduced, however the company was still showing a loss. Although the first quarter shows growth for bingo.com and they have entrenched themselves well into the UK online bingo playing market, it is surprising that they have declared a net loss.

Bingo.com has been able to add thousand of real money players and the popularity of the site has grown pretty explosively with the UK bingo playing community, they are using the UK market as a benchmark to leverage and prepare for the launch of the online bingo site into other marketplaces as well as languages. The Chief Executive Officer of the online bingo site, Tarrnie Williams says that the company is now well poised to return to a state of profitability.

The highlight for Bingo.com for the first quarter includes – A total revenue that is up by $1.34 million from $1 135 844 on the fourth quarter of 2007, boosted by gaming revenue in the amount of $1 260 470 an increase of 21% attributed to growth in player base.
